Michael List Brain with Britannia leaving London's Earls Court in 1969 to start their Global Tour- the first time anyone has gone round the world by steam powered vehicle. The were a crew of 4 people and left London with £50 in the kitty. Their goal was to advertise British Goods in each country, to help fun the trip. The tour took more than 4 years and yes they made it back safely, not without jeopardy and a lot of stories to tell.. #worldrecord

New Year Open Day: SUNDAY 28th December 2025 at Preston Court.
A perfect storm of nostalgia, novelty, and the irresistible whiff of hot oil.
What’s on offer? A gloriously eccentric parade of engines in every shape and scale imaginable. The big bruisers of the road and the farm. Miniatures that seem to exist solely to trigger childlike wonder in fully grown adults. Stationary plant, marine engines, and an assortment of mechanical curiosities that normally lurk backstage like shy Victorian debutantes.

Pop Up Supper Club 'Night At The Museum. We used one of the historic rowing boats in the exhibition to built a table on and around - it made a really atmospheric and fun place to dine- in amongst the exhibits. Not to mention a view over the royal harbour #popup #supperclub #restaurant
